1. Install WinSCP

Download WinSCP here.

Open the installation program by double clicking on its icon.

On the License Agreement screen click Accept after reviewing the license.

You will be prompted to select a setup type. For a basic setup, choose Typical installation.

Then you will be prompted for Initial User Settings, keep default Commander interface.

After you select the interface, the Ready to Install screen opens. On this screen, you can review the installation options you’ve selected. Click Install to start the installation.

A brief installation process will take place. You may have to restart Windows File Explorer or your computer. If you choose not to restart, some WinSCP functions may not be available until you do so.

You will now be back to the login screen. Simply click Login

A whole bunch of text will appear and if this is the first time you connect to this server, it will ask you to add a host key. Click Yes.

You will now see the main sftp screen where you can upload/download files.

4. Using WinSCP to Download/Upload

It's very simple to use the interface.

The basic thing is that the left side is your computer and the right side is the server.

To download files, simply drag files from server end (right side) to the your computer (left side)

To upload files, simply drag files from your computer (left side) to the server end (right side)

When you are done, simply click the X button at the top right window. This will disconnect you from the server.
